Its Sunday

Another was has begun. Left the work back in the Office and start with the preparation of the war last night.

Slept at 0430hrs and woke up 1130hrs. Wanted to sleep a bit later but the stupid doggy keeps barking!!! This time round, I don't have a luxurious place to study. The weather now is cooling, so it is bearable. The upset part is the timing as I can only start after 2330hrs.

STRUGGLING

Tomorrow will be the 2nd Friday on my new job. Star Virgo will cruise in around noon. Universal Studio is also insight. BUT all these are behind my back. My view is just a blue partition decorated with copies of papers, protected by plastic cover and on these papers are the countless account codes that can turn one crazy!! It is printed in blue, black, red and yellow, so very colorful that kills you without leaving a trace. I feel like I am dying slowly by these numbers!!!! Do we need so many account codes to make sure the Financial Statements are accurate??? DOUBT SO!!!!!
Lunch on Thursday was sponsored by our supplier, saying that it was Thanks giving day, so bought us lunch. Spaghetti, pies, turkey, beef, ham and salad….. not forgetting the log cake. The best thing of course was the salad.

Getting to know a little of what my duty is supposed to be. It is not easy to work here without guidance. I was only given 2 days to understand my duties, the former AE was patient enough to tell me the story line but I am still trying to float!! Can one imagine, to make a payment, you have to transfer money out from A to B, then from B to C, then from C to D, then only you can settle the payment. To effect this, you need to prepare 4 vouchers, 8 transactions and update excel, then process the transfer on the internet banking.

Then you will be questioned why XXX dated 2009 was not taken into the report. If I can answer that, I am GOD!!!!
Also you don’t report to the FC alone, you have to report to the VP as well. Real sickening!!!!

STOP ASKING ME THINGS THAT HAPPENS BEFORE ME!!!!!

I still cannot get use to coming home after sun set. Need to work very hard this weekend to hunt for another job. OR should I work harder to hunt for a man?? Then I can stop working, stay at home and be a housemaid.


Whatever, I am watching HARRY POTTER tomorrow night.

Changes Again

Its has been a long time. Finally I got out of that crampy office. My new office is far bigger and is next to the sea. The view is not as fantastic as CA, and of course the accounts people will never get the best view.

The same siting position which makes the job sucks. How I hate to sit back to others. Can't even see what is going on behind my back. Why are offices arrange in this way nowadays?

I am kind of tired of travelling, this new job is so far........ Night fall when I reach home. I think I need time to get use to it.

I wished I could get something that is near my home which comes with such high pay and good benefits.

If I cannot get use to coming home late at night, then I might need to hunt again. I have to endure, endure, endure.....

The Sky is Getting Clearer

Finally the week had ended.

Went through the books yesterday and getting to familier with the accounts but the accounts is in a mess.

After a week struggling, I get to know what my job is. Actually is a teacher, marking the students work. The physical documents must tie to the spreadsheet they provide.

I was given 2 sets of books to handle. Both need marking and then the other set of book is damn small. AR, AP and journals all transactions less than 50.

These students station in Afganistan and they are Philipines. Checked over their work and got a list of errors. Sianz part is need to confirm then wait for amendments. haiz. time consuming lor.

Basically, still don't like this job. :(

Laptop, don't like.

Working culture, don't like.

Only thing I like there is the salary. 

Really need help, can someone help get me out of this situation?????

All in Order

Finally, flat rented out and started work today. Meaning??? Got money come in liao lor. :p

1st day of work, very very very sad. Cannot blog, cannot facebook, cannot msn and sit face wall with back to everybody!!! So sad!!!! Still tell me can only go at 1830hrs, to hell they go lah, official hour states in the employment letter is 0900hrs to 1800hrs lor!! No wonder the other colleagues starts coming in only after 0910hrs, most come 0930hrs. I don't care, I reached before 0900hrs so I leave at 1815hr.

Lunch was great, manager bought me lobster set lunch!!!! still order side dish!! So full after the meal and sleepy follows as well.

Whole day doing data entry and checking. Look so senior job but never mind, bear with it, cause the pay high work junior never mind. :p

1st day already don't like how to survive??? Need to go Guan Yin Temple to lot lot again liao !!

At least mine was left eye, so not to worry too much.

Then I got a call to confirm start work !!!

Job Hunting restart - Part II

Went for another 2 interviews in Orchard area. Both companies are bigger than my last employer! 1 dealing with infrastructure projects and communications. The latter is shipping and trading. The latter is a very very very big organization and requires moderate travelling. The accounting duties are also a little difference compared to my past experiences. Hope they will hire me!!

There are 2 more interviews in queue.

Wish I could get a favourable reply from the big big company before the next 2 interviews.

Finally cleaned up my flat and ready to rent out. Whole body is aching like hell. Walking like an old lady now!! 

Anyway Job hunting restarts today.


I sent 26 resumes out today. Will be waiting for good news.


Am going to an interview now and might have another interview tmr.

Hunting Job Day 5

Hunting job is no fun, walk until my leg injured. sob**

Went for another interview today. Alot to learn from the job, its a very big organization in F&B business. Location is ideal, working hours is nice, now is hoping they will consider me. Then I can end my job hunt.

Tired

Why do we have to work?? :(

Went for another interview this afternoon. The 1st time got lost, couldnt find the way and forced to take cab! Arrrgh..... There is a direct bus from my house to that office lor, and still I got lost!

Big organization selling cars, all sorts of branded cars. What position I went for?? Accountant! Crazy Sia!  Was asked to finish a paper. Crap! Goodwill, Working capital ratio, quick ratio, stock turnover, depreciation principals, etc... .... I doubt that idiot know how to answer! Of course failed the interview, the interviewer never failed me but I surrender myself. The way she went through my CV like she was reading alien! However she still asked me if I have confidence to take up the position.

The 3rd interview I went to, called me this afternoon, asked me to go for 2nd interview and I reject again. It is not that I am choosy, the working hours just not right for me. I don't want to reach home after 8pm everyday. I rather start early and if need overtime also reach home 9pm. Their working hours up to 6.30, plus overtime, can only reach home after 8pm. There is no life lor. Don't say I choosy lah. :(

Will be going for 5th interview tomorrow at Novena, wish this will be the last one. It is good location and the position is not Accountant! muahahaha, why I go and apply for accountant and yet the stupid company called me for interview.

Stress!

Early morning, 2nd interview called and asked me to start work tomorrow! I rejected the offer for sure. So stingy company.

Then 3rd company called me. This one venue is good, at Tanjong Pagar. Ideal location as will be intime for class.

Went for the interview and feel still not ideal. Working hours is 9.30 to 6.30, confirm will be late for class. Though manager allow to go off early when I have class but still the normal working hours is  consider late. As over time is expected, I will only be home when the sky turns dark.

On the journey back, I decided not to start work tomorrow. That company is located at Toa Payoh, if I will to accept and work there, sure will be late for school. 2nd reason is the manager gaves me alot of stress. I haven't been able to sleep well after meeting up with that manager. She is very agreesive which really pressures me. Havent start work already stress, how to continue??? 3rd reason, that company is chinese company, for sure stingy company. Lastly, there are too many question marks

Another interview on Friday. Hope this one can closed as the location is best. Like the former Temasek Tower, it is next to MRT, so will not get wet when it rains!!! Which I like best!!!!

Job Hunting day 2

Today, I went for my 2nd interview at Woodlands Road.

Big company but working environment......sucks. The company is also very stingy. Only 10days Annual Leave and 5.5 work week.

Though I can reach there within half an hour, but the company cannot make it.

I was so tired today, my mind wonders off during the interview.

I couldn't sleep last night, I have so many things to settle. My flat rental not settle yet, how to start work. The 1st interview really left me with stress!

They called me today ask me to start work tomorrow!!! OMG!!!

Okay, now I have got a job, job hunting can stop.

I am left with my flat rental issues to handle.

All in the right track now.

Rent my flat out by August and will be able to tour soon!!!!

Hunting for job

After nearly 3years, job hunting starts again.

I have been sitting at home for more than a month. Job hunting starts straight after my exam last week. Sent out several resumes and I went for the 1st interview today.

It is a big company with 30 over staff. The working enviornment is great as they just moved there Nov 2009. Everything is new and the office still smelt of new decor.

The company has its own vessel and are in trading service. The interviewer(guess will be my superior) assures company has prospects.

I like the office and will be glad if selected. Only thing is the distance to school is far. I won't make it to school on time. :(

Well I have another interview tomorrow, a bigger company. Lets see if there is any chance.

Suddenly feels like having a longer break. :p

Thanks to my cousin, so coincidence that she was here for business trip and I had the whole room to myself for one whole day. Really did alot revising there. I soaked in the bath tub with the curtain drawn up!!!! muahahahaha.
